Through journalism, FCCLA, AVID, and SEM, she has developed communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills while exploring interests in economics, technology, and sustainability; outside school and work, she enjoys music, time with friends, and discovering new shows.
Why they joined SEM
Marisol joined SEM after a field trip introduced her to energy management as a field she had not considered. The program connected her concern for the environment with the broader impact of energy use, while giving her hands-on experience with energy efficiency, environmental policy, and the Clean Buildings Performance Standard, along with greater confidence communicating with building owners and professionals.
