Rand S. is a junior at Sammamish High School in the Bellevue School District who enjoys baking, reading, journaling, and time with family and friends. Alongside serving as DECA chapter president, participating in Girl Scouts, and practicing taekwondo, Rand is starting a bakery business and enjoys exploring cafés and trying new matcha drinks.
Why they joined SEM
Rand joined SEM to deepen an interest in business and build on the skills developed through DECA. The opportunity to form lasting professional connections, learn through practical experience, and participate in work that benefits students, mentors, and clients made the program especially appealing.
